Do you provide paperwork for an insurance claim?

What is lock snapping, and is my door at risk?
It is a method of attack that breaks a euro cylinder at its weak point in seconds, then manipulates the mechanism behind it. Standard cylinders fitted before the mid-2010s are vulnerable. A TS007 3-star or Sold Secure Diamond cylinder is designed to sacrifice its outer section and keep the lock working.
Someone tried the door but did not get in. Should I still call?
Yes, and sooner rather than later. An attempted attack often leaves a cylinder cracked or a gearbox strained even though the door still opens and closes. It usually fails properly a few days later, and by then it fails while you are on the wrong side of it.
My keys were stolen along with my address. How urgent is that?
Treat it as urgent, same day. Whoever has the keys also knows which door they open, and a working key defeats even an excellent lock. Changing the cylinder cancels every copy in circulation, and most insurers expect it to have been done.
How much does an emergency locksmith cost?

Will you have to drill my lock?
Only when the mechanism has already failed or been damaged in the attack. Where the lock still works we open it non-destructively, and where drilling is genuinely the only route we tell you before starting rather than afterwards.
Can you board up a broken window or door panel?
Yes. We carry boarding materials for glazed panels and side lights, so a broken pane does not leave the property open overnight. Permanent glazing follows separately once the opening is secure.
Do you cover communal doors in blocks of flats?

What warranty do you give on emergency repairs?
The same as on planned work: locks we supply and fit are covered for 180 days, and any key we cut is covered for life.
