Coverage areas

Locksmith coverage across North and North West London

We work from 37 Holloway Road in N7, which sits roughly in the middle of the ground we cover. That is the whole point of this page: the response times are short because the address is real and local, not because a national listing has been optimised to appear near you.

Below are the 109 areas we are asked about most, grouped by postcode and district. Pick yours, or simply call and give us your postcode.

Seven zones, one local team

Grouped by postcode and district so you can find your area quickly. Every zone is worked by the same engineers from the same address.

Zone 01 — N1 to N22

North London postcodes

Every North London postcode district, each with its own page covering the housing, the door types and the jobs that come up there. If your address starts with an N and a number, you are inside our core ground.

22 areas in this zone

Zone 02 — NW1 to NW11

North West London postcodes

The NW districts, from Camden and Regent’s Park through Hampstead and Kilburn out to Mill Hill and Golders Green. Mostly a different housing mix to the N postcodes, so a different set of locks.

11 areas in this zone

Zone 03 — Angel, Highbury, Canonbury and around

Islington neighbourhoods

The districts closest to our own address at 37 Holloway Road. Victorian and Georgian conversions, communal entrances almost everywhere, and more original timber front doors than anywhere else we work.

14 areas in this zone

Zone 04 — Road-by-road cover

Islington streets and roads

Individual roads across Islington and the streets running off them. These are the addresses an engineer can usually reach in well under twenty minutes, because they sit on our doorstep rather than across London.

22 areas in this zone

Zone 05 — NW1 to NW6

Camden, Hampstead and North West districts

West across the borough boundary. Conservation streets and large period houses near Hampstead give way to flats, shopfronts and heavy communal doors closer to Camden and Kilburn.

17 areas in this zone

Zone 06 — The northern suburbs

Finchley, Golders Green and Barnet

The northern end of our coverage and the part with the most uPVC and composite doors. Multipoint gearboxes and anti‑snap cylinder upgrades make up most of the work up here.

Zone 07 — Central and West

Wider London we also cover

Outside the core patch but worked regularly, mostly for booked and commercial jobs. Arrival times here are longer and we tell you the real figure before you commit rather than after.

What happens when you call

The same four steps wherever you are on this page.

  1. Give us your postcode

It is the fastest route to a realistic arrival time, and we will tell you honestly whether you are a ten minute job or a forty minute one.

  2. Describe the door and the building

House, flat above a shop, or a block with a communal entrance. Reaching your door is sometimes the slower half of the job.

  3. Agree the price before we travel

Quoted against the door you described and the hour of day, with any out‑of‑hours rate stated up front.

  4. One engineer, start to finish

The person you spoke to on the phone is the person who arrives, wherever on this page you happen to be.

Why local coverage actually matters

Anyone can list a hundred place names. These are the things that decide whether the list means anything.

A real address, not a call centre

37 Holloway Road, N7 8JP, company number 15623694. It sits in the middle of the area on this page, which is why the response times here are achievable rather than aspirational.

Our own engineers everywhere

No job listed here is sold on to a subcontractor. The same team covers N1 and NW11, so the standard does not change with the postcode.

Honest times by postcode

Fifteen to thirty minutes across most of N and NW. Where you are further out we say so, instead of quoting a number we cannot keep.

One price wherever you are

We do not charge more because a postcode looks expensive. The figure depends on the job and the hour, not the street name.

Overnight cover across all of it

The rota covers every area on this page, including weekends and bank holidays, not just the streets nearest us.

Local knowledge that saves time

Which roads are one‑way since the closures, where a van can legally stop, and which blocks need a code to reach the flat door.

Coverage area questions

Do you cover my postcode?

If your address begins with N1 to N22 or NW1 to NW11 then yes, and that is our core ground. We also work regularly across parts of central and west London listed further up this page. If you cannot see your area, ring us anyway — this is a list of where we work routinely, not a boundary fence.

How quickly can you actually reach me?

Across most of the N and NW postcodes we are with you in fifteen to thirty minutes, and quicker in N7 and N1 because that is where we are based. Barnet, Mill Hill and the western districts take longer, particularly at rush hour. Give us your postcode and we will give you a real number for your street rather than a marketing one.

Do you charge extra to travel to the outer areas?

No. The price depends on the job and the hour of day, not on how far the van has come. What changes further out is the arrival time rather than the bill, and you hear that time before anyone sets off.

Are you really based in North London?

Yes — 37 Holloway Road, London N7 8JP, company number 15623694. It matters more than it sounds, because many listings that rank for local searches are national call centres that pass the job to whoever is nearest. That is how a thirty minute promise becomes a two hour wait.

Do you cover flats and buildings with a communal entrance?

Constantly, since much of the housing across Islington, Camden and Hackney is exactly that. Tell us on the call whether the problem is the communal door or your own flat door. The communal one belongs to the freeholder, and there are limits on what we can change without their authority.

Is the overnight cover the same everywhere on this page?

The rota covers every area listed here rather than a small core with the outer districts dropped after midnight. Arrival times naturally stretch a little at three in the morning from the far end of Barnet, and we will say what to expect when you call.

Do you work with landlords and letting agents across several areas?

Regularly, and it is one reason the coverage area matters. An agent with flats in Islington, Holloway and Finchley deals with one company and one standard rather than three separate local firms, and we can invoice on account rather than job by job.

Do you do commercial work as well as homes?

Yes. Shopfronts, offices, communal blocks and small commercial units throughout the areas listed, including shutter and grille locks, master key suites and door entry systems. Commercial work further out is usually booked rather than emergency, so distance matters less.

What should I have ready when I call?

Your postcode, whether it is a house or a flat, and a rough description of the door. Those three things are enough for a realistic arrival time and a price before anybody travels.

Give us your postcode and we will give you a time

Not a window of “sometime this afternoon”, and not an optimistic number to win the call. A realistic arrival time for your street at the hour you are ringing, with the price agreed before anyone sets off.
